About Havard Wilson College of Education, Aba
The school was formerly known as the REDEMPTION COLLEGE OF EDUCATION. The leadership of this institution set out on a mission to revolutionalize the Nigerian education sector.
The administrators of this school first began their foray into the academic and educational sector in 1994 with the establishment of a private nursery and primary school. In 1995, they also ventured into the establishment of a private secondary school.
After the impressive performance of the school students, they made the bold step of establishing a post-secondary preparatory school which was named Carol-P College of arts and science. The name of the college was changed to Redemption College of Arts and Science in the early 2000’s and Redemption College of education in 2004.
The school started by running diplomas, pre-degree and remedial courses on its first campus before setting up a second campus in 2002 at 303 Aba Owerri Road, Aba. Havard Wilson college of Education got approval to run as a college of Education in 2005 and was subsequently recognized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board that same year.
The college has an affiliation with one of the leading universities in the country. Havard Wilson college of Education is proudly the first privately owned tertiary institution of higher learning in Abia state and the first privately owned college of Education in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
