About Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo
This is one of the youngest universities in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The school was established in 2011 and it is located in Ndufu Ikwo in the South Eastern state of Ebonyi. The school currently has over 3000 students which is a testament to its growth and acceptance among the Nigerian people.
The students in this university come from various ethnic and Geo-political zones in the country. The administrative team of the university is headed by the Vice Chancellor Professor Chinedum Uzoma Nwajiuba.
Professor Chinedum became a professor in 2004 and he is a former lecturer at the Micheal Opara University of Agriculture Umudike. Other principal officers are Dr. Okanlawon Oladipo Adediji (Librarian), Professor Sunday O. Elom (Deputy Vice Chancellor), Mrs Odisa Chinyelu Okeke (Registrar), Alhaji Rafiu K. Aliu (Bursar).
The vision of the university is to become a vibrant centre of learning and research that will be reputable nationally and internationally. The Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo is one of eight (8) universities that the Federal Government gave approval for in 2010.
Like other Federal Universities in Nigeria, admission into this school is through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The hostels and halls of residences are well equipped with pillows, cupboards and even reading spaces. The rooms are enough and every student of the university is entitled to a bed space.

- Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences
- Faculty of Education
- Faculty of management and social sciences
All faculties are located in Ndufu Alike Ikwo, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, South-Eastern Nigeria.
