Federal College of Education, Zaria which was founded in 1962 has undergone several name change including Advanced Teachers’ College, Zaria and Zaria Teachers’ College before its current name was adopted.
The institution which is located in the state of Kaduna is sited at Zaria, a prominent city in the state. Zaria the town where Federal College of Education, Zaria is located lies between latitude 11.07, 12 degrees North and longitude 07.44, 8 degrees East. The town is also a good 962 Km away from the Atlantic Ocean and just about 80 km from the North of Kaduna which is the capital of the state.
