About Adeniran Ogunsanya, College of Education, Ijanikin
Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education is located along the Badagry expressway, Badagry, the border town between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Benin Republic.
The institution was established in 1985, and it is affiliated with Ekiti State University. Formerly, the school used to be called Lagos State College of Education, and it was initially created to be a Grade III teacher grooming school.
1982, after a massive increase in the population of students, the school moved from its former campus in Surulere to its present location in Ijanikin. Kunle Ajayi (a popular gospel singer and pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God) and Sarah Adebisi Sosan (former deputy Governor of Lagos State) are notable products of this college. Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education offers NCE, Pre-NCE, Sandwich programmes, special programmes and degree certification to students.
Omolola Ladele is the current Provost of the college, and she is in charge of coordinating the affairs of the school, staff, and students. The school has excellent facilities, and it is not a surprise since it has the support of the State government. The classrooms are neat, the library is fully stocked with modern books, transport facilities are adequate and well-planned, there is a stadium in place for sporting events and extracurricular activities and to cap it up, the lecturers and staff are well remunerated.
