Update on the corona break as the Ekiti State Government Will commence teaching of Primary School pupil on Ekiti Fm 91.5 as part of its effort to reduce the disruption of the school calendar following the covid-19 outbreak.

This was released to newsmen in Ado Ekiti by Prof. Francisca Aladejana , the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the program tagged “school on air”  is a 30- minutes daily programmed designed to positively employ school age student age children who are on an indefinite break as part of efforts by government to reduce the spread of the deadly virus.

The statement explained that primary school pupils would on each weekday be taught one out of English Language, Mathematics , Yoruba, Basic Science, Civic Education and National Value as well as.

The chairman, emphasizing that the programme would be interactive one so as to  show the importance of the proposed programme, the statement added that there will be a phone -in segment at the end of each program, enabling questions and answers on the topic of the day, as well as an assessment for the impact of the program.

And finally, the statement appeal to parents and guardians to make good use of this initiative, by making sure that their wards participate actively in the program starting every weekday between 3.10pm and 4.00pm
